Our Training Methodology

 

At Fitness RxPerts we don’t simply exercise, we train. We teach our clients how their bodies are engineered. The way that we move and prepare to initiate movements is the foundation of our programs. Getting stronger is always the centerpiece of a fitness training plan. However, you must move with awareness of postural control and balance, with optimal flexibility in the appropriate joints, and with enough strength to hold your body together while you move and hold anything you want to bring along. Too often individuals begin their gym endeavor with high repetitions with light weights, thinking that this will allow them to build strength safely. The problem with this is that if you never learn how the body is designed to move you may be engraining movement habits that are harmful with all of those repetitions. Then when using heavier weights these folks feel pain and associate it with the heavy weight. As we progress our clients we continually correct postural and movement habits that make them weaker and more prone to injury. As they handle heavier weights their technique improves as well. We also provide a clear path toward building aerobic and anaerobic endurance. These are specific goals just like training for strength. Only by providing the right dose of intensity, duration and frequency to these sessions can the full results be garnered.
